BeautiGO ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BeautiGO mobile application and the beautigo.ch website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use our services.
We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG), the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all other applicable data protection laws.

3. Data We Collect
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, city/NPA, and password (stored in hashed form).
Professional accounts: If you register as a professional, we additionally collect your business name, business address, commercial register number (optional), center type, and subscription plan.
Booking data: When you make appointments, we collect the service requested, date, time, professional name, and any notes you provide.
Device and usage data: We collect device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and usage analytics to improve our services.
Location data: Only when you explicitly grant permission, we collect your approximate location to suggest nearby salons.
Communication data: If you contact us via email or in-app support, we retain the content of those communications.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and provide our core booking services.
- To process and manage appointments between clients and beauty professionals.
- To send appointment confirmations, reminders via push notifications or SMS (for Pro/Premium subscribers), and service-related communications.
- To verify professional accounts through commercial register numbers.
- To improve our app and website, analyze usage patterns, and develop new features.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data based on: (a) your consent, (b) the performance of a contract with you, (c) our legitimate business interests, or (d) compliance with legal obligations.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With beauty professionals: Your name, phone number, and appointment details are shared with the salon you book with.
- Service providers: We use Supabase (data hosting, EU-based), Twilio (SMS delivery), and Expo (push notifications). These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of BeautiGO and its users.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we retain data for up to 12 months for legal compliance purposes, after which it is permanently deleted.
Appointment history is retained for up to 24 months for service quality and dispute resolution purposes.
8. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure password hashing, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews.
Despite our efforts, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

Under Swiss and EU data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").

Our services are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the latest revision.
